We work collaboratively and creatively with project teams that include curators and collection managers, architects, designers, engineers, archaeologists and others to ensure that the needs of a collection are met in appropriate and sustainable ways.
We provide practical and effective support and advice, from initial concepts through to planning, project development and realisation. Our extensive experience of working with curators, lenders, artists and designers ensures that exhibitions meet the expectations of those involved and open on time and within budget.
Exhibition Planning and Installation
We work closely with transport agents, exhibition designers, lighting specialists, mount makers and others, enabling us to assemble teams appropriate to each project. Through working with other specialists we achieve high standards of care in terms of packing, transport, handling, installation and ongoing maintenance.
Conservation
Our extensive conservation experience includes carrying out collection assessments, condition surveys, conservation management plans and storage evaluations. We provide preventive conservation advice, guidance on practical ways of implementing environmental standards, training for staff and volunteers in a range of collection care tasks, and also undertake conservation projects.
Project Management
Working with 14-18 NOW, we project managed and implemented the 19 venue touring programme of The Wave and The Weeping Window, sculptures drawn from the 2014 installation of poppies at the Tower of London, Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red. Starting at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 2105 and concluding with a display at the Imperial War Museum London, timed to coincide with Remembrance Day.
